Permitting and Documentation
After completion of the geological survey or the calculation of remaining resources, SIA “Geolite” manages the full documentation process required to start extraction with the relevant authorities. This documentation confirms that:
- the competent environmental authority has been notified of the planned activity and has issued the necessary deposit documentation and an extraction limit for a specified volume;
- the local municipality supports extraction in the planned area and that it is consistent with the municipal spatial plan;
- the responsible environmental authority has assessed the potential environmental impacts of the planned activity and has issued the conditions for carrying it out;
- the planned extraction complies with protection zone requirements and has been coordinated with the relevant protection zone managers;
- the planned extraction has been coordinated with all other affected parties.
Preparation of the Extraction Project
SIA “Geolite” prepares the extraction (quarry) project, incorporating the Client’s requirements as well as the conditions set by the authorities. Extraction may commence once official approval of the extraction project has been received from the competent authority and all prerequisite actions specified in the project (to be completed prior to the start of extraction works) have been fulfilled.
